Senior Management
J. Gary Veazey
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Process Technical Services,
Inc. (PTS) has 33 years of experience managing and directing
technical service companies. PTS was incorporated in 1987 to provide
both technical and management expertise to process industries. Mr.
Veazey's vision has since been transformed into a worldwide service
organization and recognized industry leader.

Prior to PTS, Mr. Veazey worked as a consultant in the
reorganization of small and medium size businesses. He performed
audits and evaluations of specific elements in client companies and
held line management positions within their organizations. The
client base was diversified manufacturing companies and large
business service organizations.
Previous employment included management positions with Electronic
Data Systems (EDS), as a manager at EDS for their Systems
Engineering Development Program, Mr. Veazey was responsible for
developing the criteria, hiring practices and indoctrination for
this organization. The target market for individuals was US Military
Officers completing their active duty service. Additionally he
worked for Consolidated Freightways and as a US Army Officer in
Vietnam. Mr. Veazey is a graduate of The University of Texas with a
degree in business administration.
Gary Knight
President of Process Technical Services, Inc. Mr. Knight is
responsible for the day-to-day operations of PTS. Mr. Knight is also
Executive Vice President and serves on the Board of Directors of Bay
Middle East International (BayMe), a
joint venture company between PTS, Ameco
Ltd. and Bay Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Berry Companies.
BayMe was formed in 2000 to provide
western management skills and new technology to industries in
Egypt
and other areas in the
Middle East.
Principle areas of expertise are plant maintenance, operations,
fabrication and capital construction in both upstream and downstream
operations. Mr. Knight served on the Board of Directors of PTS
Exodus Energy International, a 50/50 partnership with Exodus Energy
and Process Technical Services formed to provide O&M services for
energy assets. Mr. Knight served as Chairman of the Board for RFO
Global LLC an international consortium of commissioning companies.
Mr. Knight has 35 years of industrial experience including plant
operations, maintenance and administration in both the domestic and
international markets. He previously served as Vice
President/Director of Operations of PTS, directed the development
and implementation of training programs in over 100 different
operating areas within 10 process plants and managed all projects
outside of the corporate office. Prior to joining PTS in 1991, Mr.
Knight worked in Management and Supervisory positions with Westlake
Petrochemicals, Occidental Chemicals Corporation, Cain Chemical
Company and E I DuPont & de Nemours.
Robert (Greg)
Bourgeois
Vice President with over 27 years of experience in construction
management, including operations management, multi-project
supervision of direct-hire personnel, and supervision of
multidiscipline subcontractors Mr. Bourgeois has served as
construction consultant for international and domestic projects
involving the installation, commissioning, and start-up of
instrumentation and electrical DCS projects. Mr. Bourgeois has been
responsible for managing a wide range of project activities
including estimating, scheduling, cost control, procurement, budget
and scope compliance, project controls, account receivables and
payables, and payroll. This has also included QA/QC surveillance of
field and shop fabrication when rebuilding and restoring facilities
in power generation plants, petrochemical refineries, pulp and paper
plants, food and beverage operations, and pharmaceutical projects.
Mr. Bourgeois has served in these industrial industries as
Operations Manager, Manager of Construction, Instrument/Electrical
Superintendent, Project Manager He has served as a President of
Operations, a Vice President, and as General Manager of multimillion
dollar corporations and projects for their various subsidiaries. He
is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Process Technical
Services, and a member of the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, ISA
Southeast region group, and Southeast Texas business Roundtable.
Doug
Childress
Senior Mechanical Consultant and former Senior Vice President
responsible for all Mechanical and Training activities as well as
all Human Resources functions for Process Technical Services Inc.
Mr. Childress has over 43 years industrial experience, including
Project FEED mechanical consulting, project commissioning and
startup budget planning, plant management, new plant construction,
commissioning, startup, and management of maintenance activities.
Mr. Childress served as Plant Manager for the A. Schulman Company,
Maintenance Manager for Westlake Petrochemicals Corporation, and
held various Management and Supervisory positions with the DuPont
Company. His experience also includes production efficiency
improvement program development and implementation, maintenance
systems consulting, management of industrial training programs, and
development of validated qualification systems for mechanical and
operations personnel. In addition to the above mentioned experience,
Mr. Childress has experience with IS0 9001, 9002, and OSHA 1910.119
PSM compliance.
Bill Word
Business Development Manager, responsibilities consist of
prospective project evaluation, sales, contract proposal development
and recruiting and project management within Process Technical
Services, Inc. Mr. Word has over 40 years experience in various
industrial projects, including operations, construction,
pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting of
many processes, including EPC, environmental, chemical, specialty
chemical, refining, gas processing, pharmaceutical and technical
service companies. Mr. Word has held management roles in many
projects associated with the above listing. Many of his assignments
have taken him to the
Middle East,
Europe,
Africa,
Asia,
North, Central and
South America.
James Grizzle
Certified Safety Professional,
retired after 36 years with Shell Oil Company where he held numerous
supervisory and managerial positions in Engineering Services,
Security, Construction, Health and Safety, and Emergency Response.
Mr. Grizzle joined Process Technical Services in 1995 as a Project
Manager with responsibility to provide OSHA 1910.119 PSM procedures
for a world-class refinery client. He has served as a Sales and
Outside Consultant and as a Safety Consultant. Mr. Grizzle holds
numerous safety related certifications including HAZWOPER
Instructor, Incident Commander, Junior College Instructor, Certified
Boiler Inspector (Illinois) and other certifications. Mr. Grizzle is
a skilled procedure writer and is proficient with OSHA, NFPA, DOT,
API and ANSI requirements. He has an MBA and BS in Management from
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Jerry L McAfee
Project
Consultant and Course Director for Professional Seminars
International (PSI) a wholly owned subsidiary of Process Technical
Services (PTS). Mr. McAfee began presenting the Process Plant
Startup seminar in January, 2004, after 35 years of chemicals
manufacturing and project experience. Mr. McAfee worked 32 years for
DuPont, in a broad range of technology, business, manufacturing, and
project managerial positions. His last project was named a DuPont
Engineering Top 10 Accomplishment for their Centennial celebration.
After a successful assignment as
Operations Director–China, Mr. McAfee left DuPont in 2001 to become
Manufacturing Manager for Conoco-Phillip’s ambitious new technology
carbon fibers venture. Responsibilities included startup of the
first generation prototype facility already under construction, as
well as global expansion planning for several larger plants
anticipated within the decade.
Mr. McAfee received
a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of
Louisville and a Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering from
Purdue University.
He is a member of the Project Management Institute.
Charles E. Atkinson
Business Development Manager for Process Technical Services,
responsible for supporting North American clients during shutdowns,
turnarounds and outages with PTS personnel. Mr. Atkinson has over
39 years industrial experience, which includes implementation,
commissioning, and startup of projects, and management of plant
maintenance activities. Mr. Atkinson has held Supervisory and Human
Resource positions with the DuPont Company. Mr. Atkinson is a
qualified OSHA 1910.119
Process Safety Management (PSM)
consultant and has worked with industrial sites to achieve Process
Safety Management compliance. His experience also includes the
research, development, and marketing of new products. He invented
animal repellent LLDPE plastic and was granted United States Patent
number 5,013,551. He was featured for this
discovery in The Wall Street Journal, Success Magazine, and The New
York Times. Mr. Atkinson has served as the
general manager for Global Heat Exchanger Services Company of
Beaumont,
Texas, and
as a Senior Consultant for the
C. J. Baxter Group, LLC. He has served on the board of directors
for the Orangefield, Texas Water Supply Corporation; and is the
current chairman of the Board of the Sabine Federal Credit Union.
Bobby L. Corder
Senior Project Manager for PTS since 2004. Previously, he was the
Executive Vice President of Neches Industrial Park, the largest
privately owned ammonia storage terminal in the US. Mr. Corder also
has 36 years of mechanical, operational, environmental, safety,
training and human resources in plant and consulting assignments. He
has attended numerous specialized training programs and classes in
Management and Development Training, Safety and Technical Training.
He is a National Process Safety Auditor and a certified instructor
in Interaction Management, Process Safety Management and is a
Quality Assurance Trainer. Mr. Corder has co-authored two manuals
relating to Safety issues while employed with the E.I. DuPont
Company. While at DuPont, he served as the Quality
Assurance/Commissioning Manager, Shift Leader, Area Superintendent,
Supplemental Maintenance Contractor Manager and Personnel and
Training Supervisor |
